NZ Lawyer publication announces Senior Lawyer move to Australian Tech Law Firm Biztech

Courtney is set to relocate to Biztech’s Sydney office as a Senior Lawyer for APAC, bringing to the table considerable experience with digital and broadcast media, commercial law and IP.

In August, Dick was counted among the excellence awardees of the James & Wells Young In-House Lawyer of the Year category at this year’s New Zealand Law Awards.

Dick explained that the decision to move to Biztech was “an easy choice. They are a new innovative firm of technology lawyers who assist tech businesses as outside counsel with all their commercial legal needs. I am very excited to join the team and use everything I have learnt to help so many more businesses with their legal needs.”

Courtney Dick is admitted in both New Zealand and NSW and has come from an in-house background in space, manufacturing and media. She recently joined Biztech Lawyers from Rocket Lab where she was the sole legal counsel for the New Zealand business supporting over 500 staff. Prior to her tenure at Rocket Lab, she logged a stint as legal counsel at MediaWorks NZ from 2017 to 2019.
