This session will delve into the interconnection of AI and Cybersecurity, the intertwined realms of cybersecurity and sovereign computing, and their impact on Australian technology companies and the need for decisive government policy.

We will address:

About the Speakers

Anthony Bekker

Anthony Bekker founded Biztech Lawyers after leading both legal and operations at e-commerce marketing unicorn Rokt – helping grow it 10x from Sydney, to Singapore, the US and then Europe. Anthony loves helping technology companies realise their global ambitions and solve their most complex problems; bringing a practical and highly commercial approach to legal matters. That approach is born of a breadth of experience helping hundreds of startups and scaleups, stints in strategy consulting and banking as well as an INSEAD MBA.

Scott Wilkie

Scott’s global reputation as a cyber security, digital and emerging technology leader stems from a background as an investment banker on Wall Street and Silicon Valley before becoming actively involved in founding companies and policies which deliver critical sovereign capabilities.

Scott has contributed extensively to the development of national strategies and policies including Cyber, Digital Transformation, Innovation and Science and for Alliance (FVEY, QUAD, AUKUS) nations.

Before joining Accenture, Scott founded Australia’s first certified strategic sovereign cloud platform and was global leader for Defence, Security and Justice at a prominent consulting firm.

Vivian Zhou

Vivian is a seasoned data science leader and entrepreneur with a deep-rooted focus on data privacy and security in the age of AI. As the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Karlsgate, a privacy enhancing technology company, she leads the development of innovative solutions to safeguard sensitive information while unlocking the full potential of data-driven insights. With extensive experience in strategy, technology, and data solutions across multiple industries, she has held APAC regional leadership roles at Accenture, Aegis/Dentsu, and Acxiom. Vivian possesses a profound understanding of the intricate interplay between data, technology, and privacy regulations. With a deep understanding of global privacy regulations, she is adept at building data solutions that balance innovation with compliance.

Erkan Izat

Erkan Izat is a senior executive, co-founder, and investor with deep experience in the technology sector and a passion for A. He also serves as board member/advisor to leading Australian organizations on emerging technology, business strategy, and national AI initiatives. He is also an avid cinephile and martial arts enthusiast
