Ed Gehres is a Washington, DC lawyer with nearly 25 years experience as a litigator, crisis counsellor, political advocate, and corporate leader. Ed’s practice focuses primarily on claimants in litigation and disputes and hedge funds and private equity funds investing in litigation and other alternative private credit assets. Ed has been a partner and practice group leader at an AmLaw 100 firm and has a decade experience as General Counsel to fintech, food, and multi-vertical investment companies.

Most recently he was the first General Counsel at 777 Partners, a Miami-based investment platform that grew from a few hundred million AUM to nearly $10 billion in under six years.

He excels at assisting clients that are facing emergence, crisis, or transformative moments, and combines legal advice with political counsel, strategic public affairs, and corporate advisory consulting.
