Jan is a Lawyer at Biztech Lawyers handling corporate and commercial matters. She brings a sharp analytical mind and a keen eye for detail to her legal work, drawing on a diverse background in event planning and management, advertising, and media communications.
Her experience at TEDx highlighted her expertise in orchestrating complex events, while her tenure at Bigseed Public Relations & Events saw her behind the scenes of major concerts and media conferences, ensuring their success. Jan’s research and large-scale planning skills have also earned her recognition. At the University of San Carlos, she was a finalist for the 'Outstanding Graduate with Academic Excellence and Moral Character' award and was one of the few selected to present her thesis on marketing research methodology at the International Conference for Business and Economics. Jan also showcased her strategic thinking at the National Youth Business Convention, where her marketing plan was adopted by a large APAC ecommerce platform on a nationwide scale.
Since moving away from PR & events, she’s now pursuing a career in tech law, advising on SaaS/PaaS clients commercial and IP matters and assisting with cap raises.
Jan lives in Sydney's North Shore with her ginger cat. When she's not drinking bubble tea or reading books, you can find her on the beach, in concerts, or traveling with friends.
Working in a cross-border team for global businesses has been one of the best parts of my career. You’d think the law is the law, but then you realise there are so many variations in how it's applied, interpreted, or even enforced. It's like learning the same song in different languages—each version has its own nuances. The best part is that you’re always learning something new, and it pushes you to stay flexible in your thinking.
