UK Tech, Lawyers Using ChatGPT, and More: Lawyer Q&A

Alison Berryman, of Biztech Lawyers, shared insights with Law360 on the transformative role of legal technology, especially the capabilities offered by AI, her own personal journey into Tech Law, joining Biztech Lawyers and the global ambition of Biztech Lawyers in servicing tech startups all across the world.

What’s in the Law360 article?

Some of Alison’s answers included the following prediction about the use of AI

“…technology will become very good at drafting what you tell it to draft.  What I don’t think it will do is become brilliant at asking questions that the client didn’t realize they needed to ask…”

On being asked why she had joined Biztech, a firm with offices in Australia and the US, Alison highlighted, amongst other things, one of the key opportunities to support the firm’s existing clients:

“…one of my specialisms is data protection. If clients are scaling a business from Australia or the U.S., and they want to scale globally, they always need U.K. and European data protection compliance advice.”
